Circle Café
Circle Café hosts a range of activities in addition to functioning as a busy café. The Kids Proms music series with “Big G”, Georgie Parker and members of the Opera House Proms orchestra, Authors evenings with Brays books, Bridie Kings Jazz Supper Club, Bastille Day dinner, Melbourne Cup lunch and Art Exhibitions.
We plan to continue and add to these events with new ideas
of interest to the local
community and beyond. Watch out for our “Cafe politics” with well known guest speakers
debating current social issues and our “Snapshot Series” whereby each programme involves
6 local identities talking about 10 photographs of their choosing from their family album –
a way into the lives and interests of people in the community – some well known, some
from the Balmain of yesteryear, all with something to say.
